Industrial floor or reach in ovens are used for small batch thermal processing. They are used for curing, drying, aging, annealing, baking, finishing, and other processes.
Industrial floor or reach in ovens have a maximum temperature of less then 1400 F (760 C). The construction of the ovens is a stainless steel interior with either a single or double door. This door can either be a side hinged door or a vertical lift door. Floor and reach in ovens primarily use electric heating elements and do not use refractory insulation which saves weight. The refractory insulation is not needed because they operate at a lower temperature. Most of these ovens come with two shelves. These ovens range in size from less then fifty cubic feet (140 liters) to over 100 cubic feet (2800 liters) Industrial floor ovens and industrial reach in ovens have set point controllers or programmable, digital controllers for temperature control.
Industrial floor or reach in ovens use either natural, or gravity, convection or forced air convection. Natural air convection ovens have an opening at the top of the oven to allow the expanding air to escape. In these ovens, there is a slow air flow from the bottom to the top of the oven from the convection currents. Forced air convection ovens can have either a horizontal or a vertical air circulation.
