Live Roller, Chain Driven are rugged and relatively easy to operate. The space below the conveyor is open, so oil and debree can fall through without creating problems. The positive grip of the chain makes it the choice for heavy loads, such as pallets. It is resistant to chemicals and temperature extremes.

The width listed is the effective width (EW) available on the roller surface. Maximum length is 80 feet for some manufacturers and 100 for others.

The roller diameter ranges from 1.9 inches for medium capacity to 2.5 and 2.6 for high capacity units. Larger diameters to 5 inches are available, but that leads into customized systems.Roller spacing for medium capacity is 3 inches and 4 1/2 or 6 inches for heavy duty. The maximum conveyor length varies by manufacturer and model from 40 to 100 feet.

One popular conveyor manufacturer, Omni Metalcraft Corp, is not listed because all chain driven conveyors are custom.
