Industrial counting scales can have the weight of a single item stored in memory. When a quantity of the item is then measured, the scale will indicate the number of pieces that are on the scale.
Most counting scales of this type have an extended memory so that the unit weight of many items can be stored. The number of stored data depends on the user's need.
Since these counting scales are used for inventory control as well as the control of units shipped to a customer, connection to a data base, time, date, and a printer output are often desirable. This comes standard on some models and with other models are optional.
Like bench top models, weight capacity, size of pan, resolution, and power are all parameters of concern.
