Compare INDUSTRIAL BENCH OVENS. Industrial bench ovens are small capacity ovens for use on a bench or table. They are also known as cabinet ovens. Bench ovens are used for curing, drying, aging, annealing, baking, finishing, and other processes of small batches at a time.

Industrial bench ovens and reach in ovens have a maximum temperature of less then 1400 F (760 C) The construction of the ovens is a stainless steel interior with either a single or double door. This door can either be a side hinged door or a vertical lift door. Bench ovens primarily use electric heating elements and fiberglass or rock wool insulation. This is light weight. Refractory insulation is not needed because they operate at a lower temperature. The outside is painted.

Most industrial bench ovens come with two shelves. These ovens range in size from less then ten cubic feet (280 liters) for bench top use, to over 100 cubic feet (2800 liters) for floor mounted reach in ovens. Industrial bench ovens and industrial reach in ovens have set point controllers or programmable, digital controllers for temperature control.

Industrial bench ovens have either natural or forced air convection. Natural air convection ovens have an opening at the top of the oven to allow the expanding air to escape. In these ovens, there is a slow air flow from the bottom to the top of the oven from the convection currents. Forced air convection ovens can have either a horizontal or a vertical air circulation. They have a fan in the oven to direct the airflow through the oven. This assures a more uniform temperature at all points in the oven.
